Terms of Service

These terms apply to all orders placed with Storm Computer Shop (Storm Computers) through this website. Please read them before you order. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About us

Storm Computer Shop is a sole trader / partnership based at 41A Green Street, Ayr, Ayrshire, KA8 8BQ, United Kingdom. Phone 01292 876415, email shop@stormcomputershop.co.uk.

2. Your order

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched or is ready to collect. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or a price has been listed in error. If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order. Where Klarna or another finance provider is offered, their own terms also apply.

4. Refurbished products

Refurbished machines are pre-owned and have been inspected, repaired where needed, securely wiped and tested by our technicians. Cosmetic condition is described by the grade shown on the product page. Minor signs of previous use are normal and are not a fault.

5. Warranty

All computers we sell, new and refurbished, including Storm gaming PCs and custom builds, come with a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, covering hardware faults that occur under normal use. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, batteries wearing through normal use, software problems or viruses, or damage caused by repairs carried out by anyone other than us. To make a claim, contact us with your order number. Full details are on our Warranty page. This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.

6. Custom-built PCs

Gaming and custom PCs built to your specification are made to order. Because they are personalised, the change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply once the build has started, but your rights for faulty goods and our 12-month warranty remain in full.

8. Your data

Before returning any device, please back up and remove your personal data. We are not responsible for data on devices sent to us. Please see our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal information.

9. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss of data or business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home part of the UK.
